Ryan is an entrepreneur who has first hand leadership experience in both for-profit and community volunteer organizations. He founded his own company in an emerging industry and has scaled teams within fast-paced tech startups, and has a background in public education.

In his free time he produces decommodified events and volunteers for mutual aid groups, and currently sits on the board of directors of his local neighborhood association. He has also taken on a reforestation project in the Pacific Northwest that involves raising a forest garden in a previously clear-cut plot of sub-tropical rain forest.
